My story

Two decades at the top of competition.

Player, general manager, and the voice on the biggest stages in esports. Now I coach the mental game and leadership behind elite performance.

The competitor

It started at sixteen.

In 2005, at sixteen, I signed with Team Dignitas and became one of the world's top Quake players. I won the iFNG London LAN, taking the Quake 3 one-on-one final against Garpy. I took first at the 2005 ESWC UK qualifier in Quake 3 duel and went on to compete at the ESWC Masters of Paris and ESWC San Jose, took second at CovLAN, the biggest Quake 4 LAN, at the QuakeLive EuroCup, and at the ESL Major Series in QuakeLive team deathmatch, and won multiple Quake team titles. I captained national teams to several top-four finishes and rebuilt a roster from the third division to the first. Across Quake, Quake Champions, and Diabotical, the through-line never changed: perform on the day, under the lights, or lose. Competition has been my arena ever since.

The voice

Thirteen years calling the biggest moments.

For more than thirteen years I have called esports at the highest level, and from 2013 to 2018 I was the face of FACEIT TV. I have commentated ten Counter-Strike Majors, nine playoff stages and two grand finals, including the 2018 Boston Major where I called Cloud9's championship-winning moment. I have worked for FACEIT, PGL, BLAST, ESL, ELEAGUE (Turner Sports), StarLadder, and Perfect World, broadcast on national television and live to millions, and called a grand final in front of a 15,000-seat arena at PGL Krakow. I have cast finals in Quake, Counter-Strike, Apex Legends, VALORANT, and Deadlock. Reading the game in real time, with the world watching, is its own kind of pressure, and staying composed inside it is exactly what I now teach.

The leader

Then I ran the team.

From 2022 to 2023 I was General Manager of 100 Thieves' VALORANT team. I ran a high-performance organization, five professional players plus a head coach, an assistant coach, an analytics group, and a team manager, and I owned the roster decisions, the staff, the culture, and the results. We won our way into VALORANT Champions, the world finals, took the Red Bull Home Ground title in 2022, and earned a place among the league's franchised teams. I also led the same group through a harder season the year after, because holding a team together when the results are not coming is its own test. Building a team that performs is a different discipline from performing yourself, and I have lived both sides.

The coach

Now I coach the mental game.

Today I coach founders and executives on the mental game and the leadership behind high performance. It is the same work I have done at the top of esports for years, and I still coach pro players and athletes chasing their next level, which keeps me sharp on what actually moves the needle. I am also the founder of Mettle, so I know the founder's seat from the inside. Coaching is where two decades at the top turn into something I can hand to you.
